Car electroplated parts can develop mold due to a combination of factors, even though the electroplating process itself doesn't inherently cause mold growth. The primary reasons for mold growth on electroplated parts are related to the environment, surface characteristics, and maintenance practices.

Mold thrives in damp environments. If the electroplated parts are stored or used in areas with high humidity levels or poor ventilation, moisture can accumulate on their surfaces.
